Our Newest Addition: Our Latest Endeavor

I know it has been a while since I have blogged and I know several of you out there have made it known that there needs to be an update, but there is definitely a good reason for the break. Within the past three weeks we have packed up our stuff, put our house on the market and moved to another town. Colin decided to sell his lawnscaping business and work with his dad at his plastics plant. We are excited about the move and the opportunities it brings, but it has been very chaotic. I think we are now more settled than we have been but we won't officially be settled until our house sells. Colin's parents were generous enough to let us live with them until that happens.

Besides moving, a lot of other things have been happening. Channing turned six months old! I can't believe how fast she is growing! We went to the doctor for her six month check up and she is still as tiny as ever. The doctor isn't concerned because she is still gaining weight and getting longer. However, she is continuing to develop at a normal rate. Now she can sit up all by herself without any help. At first she would only sit up for a couple of minutes at a time but now she can sit forever. She loves being able to play with her toys this way. Now I think it will only be a matter of time before she starts crawling. I am not in a hurry for her to start. I know everything will change when she becomes mobile.

We have discovered Channing's favorite food. Bananas! She can't seem to get enough of them and you can't try to give her any other food after she has had a taste of bananas because she won't eat it. She does fine with all of the other fruits and veggies we have tried and so far we haven't had any allergies. She is actually starting to really like meal time. We have also started giving her a sippy cup with just a teenie tiny bit of juice. (It is mostly water.) At first she wasn't sure what to do with it but now she has learned to grab the handles and lean her head back to drink. Sometimes she actually gets some in her mouth.

Channing is also starting to have more and more fun in the water. She likes to splash and play in the tub as well as in the pool. I will try to post some pics below.

My mom came up for a visit and we took Channing to have her 6 month pics taken. They turned out great! We bought enough pictures that we got a CD with all of them on it. I will try to post some of those as well. It is just too hard to say no to such cute pictures!

I can't make any guarantees but I promise to try and post more often. Now that we are settled, I should have more time to get on the computer and write.

Moving is hard work!
